Lectra Shield is a long term indoor/outdoor corrosion inhibitor for machined surfaces and assemblies subjected to long periods of storage or adverse shipping conditions. It displaces moisture and provides a transparent, amber waxy film for heavy protection of parts, equipment and machinery. Lectra Shield will provide protection of equipment subject to heat, humidity, chemicals or corrosive atmospheres.

Application:

• Recommended on valves, cable end sealer, dies, moulds, bits, spindles, instrumentation, motors, shafts, equipment exposed to the elements, outdoor storage of raw materials and finished stock will protect during shipping even if exposed to salt spray conditions.

Directions

• Shake can well before use.
• Mask area not to be sprayed.
• Best results are obtained when sprayed above 150C. Spray from a distance of 30to 35 cm in light, even coats.
• Additional coats for added protection may be applied after each coat dries.
• When finished spraying, clean valve by turning can upside down and pressingactuator until only propellant escapes.
• Do not use on energised equipment.
• Remove with aliphatic petroleum solvents or mineral spirits.

Disposal

Aerosol Cans

Do not puncture, incinerate or store above 500C. Exposure to high temperatures maycause can to burst. Do not place in direct sunlight or near any heat source. Aerosolcans will conduct electricity. Keep away from all live electrical sources includingbattery terminals, solenoids, electrical panels and other electronic components.Failure to observe this warning may result in serious injury from flash fire and/orelectric shock.

General

Use only in well ventilated area. Ventilation may be improved by opening a window ordoor or providing mechanical assistance. Avoid continuous breathing of vapour andspray mist. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. If ventilation is not adequate,respiratory protection should be worn.
